I'll be cleaning out this site, getting rid of the old/useless entries and other clutter.
Last night I attended a blogger's event for Resort World Manila and Newport City over at that hotel beside Marriot in front of NAIA 3.
[I told you guys I'm bad with names. lol.] I shared a table with Rizza and
Laya, who were really awesome girls - well, Rizza's
[awesomely] gay, but what the hey - and Ryan.
The head honchos presented stuff about what their company stands for and the city's plans, and I'm pretty excited what it'll look like in the future. They plan to put up a
mall with a climate-controlled plaza in the middle, a bus station, some fancy hotels and a park. Imagine Macau/Las Vegas/Whatever high-rolling tourist hotspot.
The food at dinner was pretty good too. Laya and I ended up pondering what made the Chinese Hot & Sour Soup sour, debating on what fruit or substance they used...to the point where we speculated that
ascorbic acid was the culprit. We even came up an advertising ditty for it, going like
"Eto ang bagong pampaasim..." LOL. In the end, we just had to ask. Turns out it was Chinese black vinegar. Hmm.
A tour of the area followed soon. And as soon as we passed by the kitchen, the chef waved at us and held up a bottle of the said vinegar. xD Then we visited a
working mock-up of one of the hotel suites
[where we were greeted by a big-ass mirror], which had a wide-screen HDTV, an iHome, and the latest Avaya phone model. But what I was most interested in was the bathroom: an massive overhead shower and an awesome bathtub.
[I'm sorry, I'm a sucker for cute bathroom setups.]Next, we headed for the casino.
Yes, the casino. Actually it was also some sort of simulation for the students of the Academy, but it was awesome. Watched my officemates play roulette, and later we were taught
[by an insanely cute dealer named Kevin <3] how to play Baccarat
[I like that name. Hmm.] And later in the mini-tournament, I won 3rd place and a bottle of wine. LoL. I donated the wine to our office, though.
Well...that's it for now.
Back to designing websites. Ciao!
